Glen Coe, Loch Ness and the Highlands
DAY 1: Heading North we stop in Stirling to hear the ancient legends of William Wallace and King Robert the Bruce. Then in Balquidder we will find out about another hero from Scotland's past- Rob Roy MacGregor.
Venturing into the Highlands we will go for a walk in the awe inspiring Glen Coe and heazr the tragic tale of the massacre which took place there. Travelling up through Glen mor (the Great Valley) and Fort William, we will stop finally in the quaint Highland town of Drumnadrochit on the banks of Loch Ness.
DAY 2: The first stop today is Inverness - the capital of the Highlands, where you can enjoy some free time to sightsee and shop. After which we go to Culloden moor where the final Jacobite rebellion was ended. Nearby is the neolithic site of Clave Cairns, surrounded by great standing stones and 6000 years of history. We will enjoy a forest walk in the Hermitage and finally view one of the most iconic images of Scotland - The Forth Rail Bridge.
