The birth of a Nation
DAY 1: Wasting no time we make our way straight to famous Loch Lomond and on to Kilmartin Glen where we have evidence of 6000 years of history. These include standing stones, carvings and burial chambers up to the Pictish/ Scotti stronghold of Dunadd - the very birthplace of Scotland, as well as Carnasserri castle, a spectacular example of a 16th century castle before we stop briefly in Inverary. Tonight is spent in the delightful town of Obanwhere there is no shortage of entertainmant for an evening out.
DAY 2: The following day after exploring Oban we head out along Loch Awe stopping at St Conan's Kirk and Kilhurn castle before heading South towards Stirling and teh Trossachs National park.
HIGHLIGHTS: Loch Lomand, Dunadd, Standing stones, Carnasseri castle, Oban, Loch Awe, St. Cohan's Kirk, Kilhurn castle, Stirling and the Trossachs national park.
